Middle School Boys Focus GroupWho: 7th & 8th Grade Boys
When: Tuesdays from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm
*Homework Hour from 3 to 4:30 pm*
Meets from the first week of October through the end of April
Where: The Nest (Youth Room)We invite all 7th and 8th grade boys to join this FOCUS GROUP where faith, friendship, and fun come together.
Our leaders will use the book, Unshakeable, Building a Life of Virtue in a World of Chaos, by Father Mike Schmitz, to show the boys the power of the virtues and how our dedication to them can help us become more like Jesus. Don't worry, no homework is required!
In addition to growing in virtue, there will be plenty of time for snacks and hanging out in the Nest playing pool, ping pong, and foosball.

Meet Your LeadersMy name is Oscar Torres, and I look forward to working with the youth of St. Joseph’s Parish. I previously served as a Youth Group leader at St. Monica in Berwyn.

Over my 37-year career in Catholic, private, independent, and public schools, I’ve focused on listening to students and creating a safe, inspiring learning environment. I have taught Spanish at the middle and high school levels and served as Assistant Principal at Valley Forge Middle School. My passion for working with students, teachers, parents, and administrators guides my work every day.
OSCAR TORRESn my career teaching 7th and 8th grades in a Philadelphia Catholic school while serving as Hispanic Youth Minister for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Highlights include attending World Youth Day with Pope John Paul II and, more recently, SEEK with my daughters. -

I have been active in several ministries, such as the Respect Life ministry, the Green Team, an
